KUWAIT – AL SHAHEED PARK (EXTERIOR)

KUWAIT – AL SHAHEED PARK (EXTERIOR)

Al-Shaheed Park in Kuwait City was completed in early 2015. The city’s initial plan was to create a green belt to protect it from sand storms; today the idea has been re-imagined to provide a green haven for the future generation. The improvement of the 23.5 hectare (58 acre) park include a memorial zone, ceremonial zone, museum and parking space. Contributing to this ambitious green vision, GSky has designed and installed five Green Walls throughout the park, such as the celebration gate, ticket and lobby space, and two terraces. Beyond its visual impact, there are many health benefits to having Green Walls inside and outside a building. The plants on the Green Wall remove toxins in the air and capture dust, and can absorb sounds to reduce noise pollution.
