OVERVIEW

The new 14,000 square foot West Elm Store is the second store designed by Thomas O’Brien of Aero Studios. The new space features a living wall of plants by GSky Plant Systems Inc. and an updated Design Lab, where visitors can collaborate on virtual space planning and decorating projects. The Beverly Boulevard store is west elm’s 37th retail location.

THE PROCESS
The installation took course over a period of three days and used scaffolding to install across the stairwell in front of the wall.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance is performed a super ladder that can straddle the stairwell that runs up the left side of the wall. It is performed on a weekly basis. Because the right side of the wall is getting more light than the left due to the windows immediately to it's right, these plants require more frequent watering.
