THE PROCESS The Green Wall was installed in a day and a half by Arteka Companies. The waterproofing was being installed prior and the frames were installed on CMU block with spring anchors within a couple of hours. The irrigation system is located in a closet about forty feet away from the Green Wall. The wall has two irrigation zones, one for the bottom and one for the top. The lighting installed includes a photo sensor to regulate the turning on and off of the lights during the day and night as per the available sunlight. The installation was finished ahead of schedule and without issue.

MAINTENANCE The wall is approximately 9' tall so weekly maintenance takes place using a step ladder. Initially approximately 100 of 2,300 plants suffered from some cold damage during shipping and failed immediately after installation. GSky took care of the problem at no expense to Mill City Apartments - the plants were quickly replaced and there have been no issues since.
