THE PROCESS
The installation took place over a three day period and scaffolding was used to reach the top of the wall. The plants were selected to withstand heavy salt winds that can hit the wall during tropical storms that come through the area on a regular basis.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance is performed on a ladder on a bi-weekly basis. Generally salt build-up needs to be washed off the leaves manually using hose with fresh water during the summer months when winds and storms are most frequent. Salt also does cause a higher level of attrition than other walls in the area, and these replacements need to be planned for on a bi-monthly basis.
