Temperature Regulation

Green Walls help lower building temperatures, resulting in reduced energy consumption.

• Reduce the Heat Island Effect:  heat islands are areas that are hotter than their immediate surroundings.  Heat Islands in cities are a result of concentrated heat from air conditioners, asphalt roads, vehicles and the general population.  Green Walls cool this through the evaporation process and shading surfaces that are conducive to heat absorption. This creates cool air spots in the cities and reduces air conditioning needs.
• Make City Strolling Cool: pedestrians suffer from heat reflection from the buildings and roads they walk beside and sidewalks they walk on.  Green Walls create a much cooler space for people to walk in, improving their shopping, eating or working experience.
• Reduce Wall Temperature: Green Walls reduce wall temperature by as much as 15°F.
• Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions: reducing air conditioning needs results in lower air conditioning emissions and power consumption that create greenhouse gas emissions.
